18 weeks

What a precious miracle God has blessed us with - a sweet baby girl growing in my tummy.  I am humbled to my knees by God's grace. I am so undeserving, but I am so thankful. What a mighty King we serve.  Lord help me raise these two sweet babies knowing You.  Guide us Lord in teaching them your Word and help them follow the path You set for them. I pray Lord that Luca and his little sister will be kind, humble and will serve Your Kingdom. Thank you, my precious Jesus.

Well I'm behind in documenting this pregnancy - no surprise there ha! With a 2.5 year old keeping us busy, running my two businesses and everything in between, I've seemed to neglect my weekly pictures and updates. But hopefully from here on out I will start updating again!

Size of Baby: According to What to Expect, our baby is the size of a sweet potato! Around 5.5 inches and 5 ounces. Goodness that seems so big already!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I'm gaining much quicker this time than I was with Luca - I think 7lbs already!

Maternity Clothes: This pregnancy I'm actually not wearing a ton of maternity clothes - I'm wearing a lot of dresses that are roomy but not maternity. But pants and shorts - yes, all maternity!

Gender: A sweet baby GIRL!!! We are SO excited!!

Belly Button In/Out: In, but on the way out

 Stretch Marks: Not yet

Labor Signs: No

Movement: Yes, I'm feeling her kick and move on the inside, but you can't quite see it from the outside yet! Feels mostly like gas bubbles but I know it's her :)

Sleep: The last two days I've slept until 9:45am, which is unheard of nowadays since Luca wakes up usually around 7:30am. Danny says I've been extra tired this pregnancy - more so than I was with Luca!

What I miss: I really don't miss a thing. I love being pregnant!

What I am looking forward to: Our anatomy scan in two weeks!

Cravings/Aversions: McDonalds (gross I know), tons of water

Symptoms: TIRED, headaches

Best Moment This Week: Talking to Luca about his "baby sister" and thinking about names for her!

Gender: It's a precious baby BOY! *Luca James Bolaños*

Belly Button In/Out: Out!

 Stretch Marks: No thankfully!

Labor Signs: I am still not dilated at all :(  Braxton Hicks and cramping but that's about it.

Movement: Yes he is still moving all the time!  His kicks and punches are becoming stronger and a little more painful.

Sleep:  Still waking up every night to use the bathroom, and I've been sleeping super late every day this week - trying to take advantage before little Luca arrives :)

What I miss: Nothing - just ready to meet our sweet baby!

What I am looking forward to:  Finally meeting our sweet little Luca bear!  Hopefully (praying) in the next week!

Cravings/Aversions: No cravings just eating a lot!

Symptoms: Cramping, back aches, leg cramps, heartburn, braxton hicks, etc.

Best Moment This Week:  We are finally ready to meet our sweet man - meaning everything is checked off our to-do lists, the house is clean, and my parents arrive tomorrow.  We are ready!  We can't wait to meet you sweet Luca!  I also had acupuncture today to try to get this show on the road - hopefully it will help me progress a little!  I am also walking a lot and eating pineapples!

38 weeks

Less than 2 weeks to go!  I cannot believe it.  I am so ready to meet our sweet baby!

Size of Baby: According to What to Expect, this week he is the size of a watermelon!  That seems so big to me!  He was 5lbs 14oz at my 36 week ultrasound.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I'm up 29 lbs.

Maternity Clothes: Maternity shorts, t-shirts, tank tops, maxi dresses, COMFORTABLE is all I care about! Ha!

Gender: It's a precious baby BOY! *Luca James Bolaños*

Belly Button In/Out: Out!

Stretch Marks: No stretch marks and I'm so grateful!

Labor Signs: I'm 50% effaced and still not dilated.  Having Braxton Hicks and cramping often.

Movement: His movements are starting to hurt a little ha! He kicks, rolls and punches all the time. I love it.

Sleep:  I wake up every night to pee, and the last few nights I have not been feeling good at all right at night time.  Doctor said my body is just getting me ready :)

What I miss: I really do not miss anything - I am just so ready to meet our precious boy!

What I am looking forward to:  Meeting Luca in less than 2 weeks! I just cannot wait!!!!!!!!!

Cravings/Aversions: EVERYTHING.  I am always hungry.

Symptoms: Heartburn, cramping, leg cramps, back pain, fatigue....and last week I threw up for the first time this whole pregnancy.  I called the nurse and she said I probably had a stomach bug that was going around.  But I didn't have any other symptoms and did not throw up again - I think it was just my body preparing itself for labor!

Best Moment This Week:  I finished editing my LAST photo session so I am officially caught up and really on maternity leave!  Now I need to start organizing the house and getting everything ready.  And we also set an induction date with the doctor - I will go in the night of Sunday, Sept 21st (my due date) and they will give me cervidil and I will spend the night at the hospital.  Then Monday morning (Sept 22nd) the doctor will break my water and we will wait to see if I am progressing on my own.  If not we will do Pitocin as a last resort.  I always said I did not want to be induced but at this point and I am just so done being pregnant ha!  Also my mom had to be induced with all 4 of her pregnancies and her water had to be broken each time, so it might be hereditary.  Still praising you Jesus for your faithfulness!

33 weeks

I've been so busy the last few weeks!  We finally finished our Junior League project, and my sessions are going to start winding down in the next few weeks.  Today I was stung by a WASP when I walked in my front door!  I screamed and started crying - it hurt SO bad!!!  The nursery is almost completely finished and I love how it turned out.  It is so peaceful.  Can't wait to snuggle our sweet baby in his room!

Size of Baby: According to What to Expect, this week he is the size of a honeydew (around 4.5 lbs and 19 inches).

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Haven't been weighed in a few weeks.

Maternity Clothes: I live in my maternity shorts and tank tops.

Gender: It's a precious baby BOY! *Luca James Bolaños*

Belly Button In/Out: Out!

Stretch Marks: Thankfully no!  I've been pretty religious about using the cream on my stomach.

Labor Signs: No

Movement: I think he is running out of room because his movements feel harder and stronger haha!

Sleep:  Good except for the heartburn, hot flashes and Primo waking us up at 3am every night to use the bathroom!

What I miss: Not a thing!

What I am looking forward to:  Soaking in the last few weeks alone with my sweet hubby before little Luca arrives :)

Cravings/Aversions: I haven't been as hungry lately so I have to make sure to remember to eat every few hours. No aversions really.

Symptoms: Heartburn (the sonogram tech said she saw HAIR on his last ultrasound! No wonder I've had such bad heartburn), hot flashes, tired, back pain, nose bleeds.

Best Moment This Week:  God showing Himself so clearly yesterday.  I am so grateful for such a merciful and faithful Savior.  I will forever be grateful for this life and our sweet little Luca.

30 weeks

I was actually 30 weeks on Sunday, July 13th.  We have had a CRAZY last 2.5 weeks!  We went to Disney World July 2nd-6th, then my mom came in town July 9th-16th, my sister came in town July 12th-18th and my baby shower was on Saturday, July 12th!  I've had such a fun July getting to see all of our family!  My sweet mom and sister helped SO much while they were here - they washed clothes, folded and put away all of them, organized Luca's nursery and cleaned my house.  I am just so grateful for both of them!  We had such a good visit and I was so sad for them to leave.  But they will be back in September! Yay!

Size of Baby: According to What to Expect, this week he is the size of a small cabbage!  He was 3lbs 3oz at our appointment on Monday.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 22lbs.

Maternity Clothes: All the time.  I can wear non-maternity maxi dresses and shirts, but I do love maternity clothes.

Gender: It's a precious baby BOY! *Luca James Bolaños*

Belly Button In/Out: Out!

Stretch Marks: A few on my legs but none on my stomach.

Labor Signs: No

Movement: He is moving a lot!  I absolutely love it.

Sleep:  Sleep is good except for Primo waking us up almost every night the last few weeks!  I don't know if it's because we had house guests or what, but it is definitely preparing for us for when Luca comes :)

What I miss: Not a thing!

What I am looking forward to:  Sonogram next Friday with Dr. Tucker.  Also finishing his nursery!

Cravings/Aversions: Eating everything.  No aversions really.

Symptoms: Heartburn, leg cramps, headaches, cramps, stomach pains from him kicking my ribs!

Best Moment This Week:  Seeing our precious baby Luca on the sonogram with my mom, sister and husband.  He was in the 45th percentile and the doctor said she thinks he will weigh 6-7lbs at birth! His heart rate was 141 and my blood pressure was good.
