14 weeks

What a relief, joy, feeling of total excitement to finally say goodbye to the first trimester! Even though my 1st trimester was pretty easy (no nausea) I am still so glad to be in the 2nd tri!  I still can't believe I'm carrying this sweet miracle in my tummy.  Thank you Jesus!!!!!! We came up with a girl name that I LOVE yesterday, and I think we're pretty close on a boy name too!  I started looking at cribs yesterday online and I am sooo excited to start on the nursery soon.  HELLO 2ND TRIMESTER!!! :)

Side note - I photographed my first birth last week and it was such an amazing, spiritual experience. This mama gave birth naturally with no meds and I was SO impressed with how composed she was throughout her labor.  She made it look so easy.  I've always been pretty anti-medication with most things in my life, so I think I'm going to talk to my doctor about potentially trying a natural birth.  We will see!

Size of Baby: According to What to Expect, our sweet baby is the size of a lemon! I can't believe it - that seems so big!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Still need to get a scale.  I have an appointment today and I'm going to ask the nurse how much I've gained. **UPDATE** I've gained 4 lbs!

Maternity Clothes: Pants are a joke - ha! Using the rubber band trick on my jeans and wearing lots of yoga pants during my shoots.  I haven't tried the belly band again but probably need to pull that out.  I think I'll wait a few more weeks if I can before buying maternity clothes.

Gender: I think it's a girl! :) **UPDATE** The heart rate today was 142, and my doctor said she thinks it's a boy based on that. We will see!

Belly Button In/Out: In

 Stretch Marks: Not yet

Labor Signs: No

Movement: I don't think I can feel the baby moving - just lots of stretching, round ligament pain, etc.

Sleep: Sleep is great! Waking up during the night to use the bathroom.

What I miss: Not a thing!

What I am looking forward to: Finding out the gender!!!!!!

Cravings/Aversions: Mexican food, apples, sweets, sandwiches.

Symptoms: Heartburn, headaches, always congested/stuffy nose, stretching in my uterus, bloated :)

Best Moment This Week: Hitting the 2nd trimester milestone!  I cannot believe this sweet baby will be here in 6 months!!! We can't wait to meet you angel!

13 weeks

Size of Baby: According to What to Expect, our sweet baby is the size of a peach!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I'm SURE I've gained weight - I have no idea how much though!  I haven't had any nausea so I've been able to keep food down.

Maternity Clothes: None yet!  Shirts are no problem - most of my pants are too tight but I can still squeeze into them.

Gender: I'm thinking girl, but we will see!

Belly Button In/Out: In

 Stretch Marks: Not yet

Labor Signs: Definitely not

Movement: Still feeling stretching, pulling, etc in my uterus.  The nurse said this is round ligament pain and also umbilical something (can't remember the name) but all totally normal.

Sleep: Still waking up once a night to use the bathroom, but besides that sleep is great.  Enjoying it while I can :)

What I miss: Not a thing!

What I am looking forward to: My appointment this week!

Cravings/Aversions: Craving Mexican food, apples, strawberries and sweets.

Symptoms: The fatigue has eased up a bit which is awesome. Sore boobs, movement/growth in tummy, super thirsty/hungry.

Best Moment This Week: Getting our first baby gift from our dear friends Yvonne & Pablo! We went to their house last night and they surprised us with a baby tub filled with baby items! It was so precious and we love them so much!

our miracle

Jesus.

I’m nearly brought to tears trying to describe my love for You.  My Healer, Anointer, Savior...My Rock.  The one and only thing in my life that will never change is You.  You walked on water, gave sight to the blind, healed the sick and rose from the dead – there is nothing You cannot do.  And yet, in all of Your Glory and Power, You still care for the desires of my little heart.  You love me so much.  Through all of my sin and failure, You love me.  The Creator of all the Earth loves all of us.  What an amazing feeling.

I’m pregnant!!!!  Our sweet little baby will arrive this September :)  And Jesus orchestrated this in such a way that the glory and praise can go nowhere else except to Him!  A miracle, just as it says in the Bible. God hears our prayers.  He listens to our wants and desires.  And He keeps His promises.  What a mighty God You are!  I will never be able to thank You enough, Father.  I promise, Lord, that I will raise this precious baby to know You and will help lead them to love You.  We prayed for this child, and You granted the desires of hearts.  In Your time.  And we commit this sweet baby to You, before he or she is even born.  This baby is Yours!  And we will love and protect them for their time here on earth.  I already love this child with all my heart.

Our precious miracle is due to arrive on September 21st :)  Praise the Lord!

I'm sure no one reads this blog anymore, especially since my last post was in 2012 (!!!)....but I'm going to start blogging again.  And this is really just for me to remember my pregnancy and be able to document it :)  So hopefully I will start doing weekly updates on this sweet little baby!

Size of Baby: According to What to Expect, our sweet baby is the size of a large plum!

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I have not kept up with my weight AT ALL - we don't even have a scale at home.  I guess I need to invest in one :)

Maternity Clothes: My pants are super tight and uncomfortable...I bought the Be Band from Target, but it slips off and doesn't stay put....so I assume maternity pants are in my near future!

Gender: No idea! :)

Belly Button In/Out: In

 Stretch Marks: Not yet

Labor Signs: Definitely not

Movement: I've been feeling stretching/pulling sensations in my uterus, but I don't think it's the baby moving?  Not sure what that feels like?

Sleep: I'm so grateful that I've had a fairly easy first trimester.  I only wake up once a night to use the bathroom and haven't really had any sickness.  Just EXTREME fatigue :)

What I miss: Absolutely nothing!

What I am looking forward to: Finding out the baby's gender!  I'm thinking girl :)  Last ultrasound at 10 weeks the heart rate was 164.

Cravings/Aversions: I haven't really had any aversions.  I've been craving apples and strawberries.

Symptoms: Super tired, thirsty all the time, bloating, constant bathroom trips, boobs are huge, start feeling a tad sick if I go too long without eating.

Best Moment This Week: Hitting the 12 week milestone!
