chicken & sausage gumbo

I confess, I used Zatarain's gumbo mix for this one. It tasted delicious! We used an entire link of turkey sausage and boneless, skinless chicken tenderloins. We chopped both into bite-sized pieces and cooked them together in a skillet with chopped onions and green bellpeppers. We drained the chicken and sausage mixture and added the Zatarain's mix. We then cooked it in a pot according to the package directions. Basically, you just add the gumbo mix to the chicken and sausage and simmer on low for 25 minutes. We added salt and pepper, and cooked some extra rice to eat with it.

My husband loved it! It was easy and fulfilling.
