sweet chicken bacon wraps

I made these last year and again this year for our Christmas party. This is a Paula Deen recipe. I substituted turkey bacon for regular bacon and used tenderloins instead of breasts because they are easier to slice.
  • 1 package boneless, skinless, chicken tenderloins
  • 1 package sliced turkey bacon
  • 2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
Preheat oven to 350. Cut chicken into 1-inch cubes. Cut each bacon slice into thirds. Wrap each chicken cube with bacon and secure with a wooden pick. Stir together brown sugar and chili powder. Dredge wrapped chicken in mixture (I use a spoon to sprinkle the mixture on the chicken - it is much easier to me this way!). Coat a rack and broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray (I just used a regular baking pan). Place chicken wraps on pan. Bake 350 for 30 to 35 minutes or until bacon is crisp.
YUMMO! These are easy and delicious. They were a hit at our party!
