Better late than never! :)
Here is the view of our living room when you walk through our front door.
We have the extra chair in the corner of the room that we can pull out for company. I found it in an antique store for $100 and it is upholstered in gold velour with hand carved wood around the trim. It was love at first sight!
Another view from the front door.
The archway opens up to our kitchen - I love how we can watch tv while chopping vegetables from the island. Multi-tasking is my speciality! ;)
I love patterns. When I had my valances in the kitchen made, I had her make me matching throw pillows for the living room to tie in the brown zebra pattern. I don't love the rug; eventually I want a neutral/beige area rug.
I also had matching covers made for my side tables. There is a kick-pleat on each side and I really like the tailored look.
This table is over 100 years old. We got lucky and bought it from a British guy who was moving back to England and selling all his furniture. He said it had been in his wife's family for over a century. The framed black and white pictures above the table are from our wedding day.
View of living room from kitchen.
My aunt Donna gave me this picture of my great-great grandmother and her sister. I love it.
The entry table in our foyer. The mirror is another antique store find.
We found this 1940s Etiquette book in a bookstore downtown.
And that is our living room :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Yes, I know you have your lights on in all your pictures but I must say....I love how bright and open your home looks. Plus, you have some antiques. I love to decorate with antiques. Not large pieces of furniture but small, special pieces.
Oh I love your living room! You've got great style!! Just gorgeous!
I love your patterns!! Where did you get the rug? Love it!
Hi Cheri! Thank you! I got the rug at Target almost a year ago. We really like it but the only problem is it's really thick and holds alot of dust.
Gorgeous living room! Can you please tell me what paint color is on the walls ? We just bought our first home and i really like this color. Thanks!
